What is SLF?

SLF Purpose Diagram

The Scottish Learning Festival (SLF) is the biggest professional learning event for educators in Scotland. We warmly welcome everyone who works in schools, early learning and childcare, community learning and development and higher and further education. We’ve even had a few international visitors over the years!

This year the festival is on 21-22 September. Historically, the festival has taken place in-person at the Scottish Exhibition Centre (SEC) in Glasgow. However building on feedback and taking into account the accessibility benefits of the 2021 festival approach, the 2022 festival will remain virtual with some satellite, face-to-face events happening across Scotland.

Over the two days there will be around 70 seminars for attendees to choose from covering a wide range of relevant, stimulating themes.

As SLF continues to evolve, we are keen to refresh our approach and make sure that the festival meets the professional learning needs and expectations of its intended audience. As such we’re keen to engage with as many educators as we can so if you would like to contact us regarding the festival please get in touch and keep an eye on the @educationscotland twitter for #SLF22 tweets.

Some of the commonly asked questions about SLF can be found on our FAQ page which we will continue to update over the coming months.

We can’t wait to see you for SLF 2022!
