The Scottish Learning Festival 2022 aims to showcase the wonderful educational work happening around Scotland, inspire and inform educational practice and bring educators together. It provides a valuable and unique opportunity to hear from, and learn from, a range of educational leaders, practitioners and providers.

This year we are excited to be hosting a hybrid festival which means you’ll be able to join us in a fantastic digital arena to enjoy our conference programme as well as visiting the festival in person at our six satellite events. We would encourage you to join ‘live’, where possible, so that you can participate in the interactive seminars, join the discussion and network with colleagues. However, all of our sessions will be recorded so you will be able to watch later, at a time that suits you, through the SLF portal, for up to two months after the event. Everyone with an interest in education is welcome to attend this free event which will deliver around 65 seminars and offers a fantastic line up of speakers, debates and opportunities for virtual professional networking.

The theme for 2022 is: Being Me, Being Us: Placing learners at the heart of Scottish Education

This theme puts learners at the heart of Scottish Education and reflects The United Nation’s Convention on the Rights of a Child (UNCRC), the national model for professional learning, Realising the Ambition: Being Me publication and also the themes of Ken Muir’s recent reform report ‘Placing Learners at the Centre’.

We are confident that SLF 2022 will provide high-quality professional learning for practitioners from across all sectors. Please join us!

Look out for updates on sessions in the coming weeks!

The programme will be updated regularly as more sessions and presenters are confirmed. In order to join these fantastic seminars, you need to register here for the festival and receive your unique log-in details for our online portal.
